The RPtronics e-commerce platform specializes in the distribution of technical products and high-precision electronic components to professional clients (B2B) and individual consumers (B2C). Any order placed on the website implies the express, prior, and unreserved acceptance of these T&Cs by the buyer.
Article 2: Offer and Product Catalogue
RPtronics offers an extensive catalogue featuring more than 100,000 electronic component references. Products are described with the highest possible precision through datasheets and associated technical documentation.
Product offers and prices are valid as long as they are visible on the website, within the limits of available stocks. In the exceptional event of product unavailability after an order has been placed, the buyer will be informed immediately via email, and a replacement item or a full refund will be offered.
Article 3: Pricing, CAD Currency and Customs Compliance (Canada)
Prices for our products are stated in Canadian Dollars (CAD), excluding shipping, delivery, and international custom handling fees. RPtronics reserves the right to modify its prices at any time in response to market fluctuations, but undertakes to apply the rates in force displayed at the time of order confirmation.
International Taxation and Customs for Canada:
- Import Duties, GST & Taxes: Since products are dispatched from the European Union, shipments entering Canada are subject to customs clearance, import duties, and applicable federal or provincial taxes (such as GST, HST, or PST) levied by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The recipient of the shipment is the importer of record and is entirely responsible for fulfilling these requirements and customs clearance fees.
- B2B Transactions: Canadian corporate entities requiring detailed commercial invoices for import entry tracking are requested to specify their Business Number (BN) or corporate tax identifiers during checkout for proper international carrier routing.
Article 4: Order Process and Security
The order process is carried out via a custom and secure PHP development script on our server infrastructure. The buyer selects their components, confirms the shopping cart, inputs delivery and billing addresses, and validates the order after careful review.
To mitigate brute-force attacks and guarantee the security of the customer area, account access and transactions are protected by a cryptographic security protocol and proof-of-work verification mechanisms.
Article 5: Terms of Payment
Payment for orders is due in full at the time of purchase confirmation. The accepted payment methods are:
- Secure credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via our SSL-encrypted payment gateway.
- International bank wire transfers (RPtronics' banking details are provided upon selecting this payment method). The order will only be processed upon effective receipt of funds.
Article 6: Shipping, Intercontinental Logistics and Deadlines
Products are dispatched from our optimized, centralized logistics facility located in France, at Porte de Savoie (73800). Packages are transported to Canada using specialized international air freight and local distribution partners.
Available Shipping Methods for Canada:
- International Postal Tracked (La Poste / Canada Post): Standard international shipping with tracking to your local post office or mailbox, typically delivered within 5 to 9 business days following dispatch.
- UPS Worldwide Expedited: Fast intercontinental delivery within 3 to 5 business days.
- DHL Express / FedEx Priority: Premium express shipping with prioritized customs clearance within 48 to 72 hours.
Shipping is free for all orders with a total value equal to or exceeding 120 CAD.
Article 7: Right of Cancellation and Returns
Customers have a period of 14 calendar days from receipt of their goods to cancel their order and return the products without giving any reason.
Returned products must be in their original condition, must not have been soldered or damaged, and must be returned in their original packaging. The costs of return shipping are borne by the customer, except in cases where a non-conformity or defect is attributable to us. Given the intercontinental distance, returns must be shipped with tracking numbers to guarantee delivery at our center.
Article 8: Statutory Warranties
RPtronics provides commercial and conformity warranties for the sold technical items under standard international guidelines.
- Conformity Warranty: Electronic components must be returned in their original state. This warranty does not apply if the component has been soldered, altered, damaged, or used in a manner that does not comply with the manufacturer's technical specifications or datasheets.
Article 9: Dispute Resolution and Applicable Law
These T&Cs are governed by and construed in accordance with Hungarian law, without prejudice to any applicable mandatory regulatory protections. In the event of a dispute or claim, the buyer will primarily contact RPtronics' customer service through the online contact form to reach an amicable solution.
